Who would you choice Dwight Gayle or Bradley Dack.
Rumours are rife that Gayle is going to Forest.
Dack scores plenty but he’s not a centre forward albeit I think he’s someone that would add to our options.
We score a lot of goals from other than a centre forward so I wonder if a player who works hard running the channels and holding the ball might be a good option, maybe a loan stint for Shane Long or Troy Deeney.
Where’s Odemwingie parked at the moment?
Ivan Toney from Peterborough or Gayle or niasse on loan.
Dack is an amf and would cost £15m and would rather spend that much on bowen of we went up.
We need someone to come in and hit 10 in the remaining 20 games.
Never know though CA has the capacity to go on a run of scoring from now until the end of the season season that may negate the need for another cf.
Assombalonga is one I'd consider if his price was £6-7m, but not at the price they paid forest which was £12m.
I cannot believe no one took bowen last summer.
The problem is that players like him who used to cost £5-8m now cost £20m. England based players like him, Maupay and McBurnie go for £20m plus nowadays so we need to look abroad imo.
Ollie Watkins of Brentford.
I don't think we need anyone. As said we score plenty of goals from midfield.
Bilic likes this 4-2-3-1 formation and so I think you would struggle in that system with Dwight Gayle, or a small striker.
As Chris says, we get a load of goals from our attacking midfielders, so the type of striker we need is someone who can hold the ball up, bring others into play and be a general battering ram. Not necessarily just a goal scorer, but someone with the right attributes to complement the team. A Rondon type would be perfect.
On that note, I think he got a bit of unfair stick from our fans during his time here. He would have excelled in this team, under Bilic with Pereira playing behind him. Instead we saw him under Pulis with James McClean playing behind him.
In a word...Mitrovic....no chance though
