O/T. Did anyone see it coming. Not a squeak on here about it.

    The election I mean.

I must admit I for one never saw that result coming.

Any one got any views or reasons. I live in deep blue Surrey at the moment and even the Tories around here look upon Boris as a buffoon and bumbling idiot.

    It's a funny world isn't it.

Yep 100% . Was a nailed on Conservative majority .. I thought it would be more.
Boris is a total kn0b , but Tory voters rarely vote anything else no matter what .
Labour had alienated vast amounts of northern voters with the Islington ideals , Brexit stance and a hugely unpopular Loser in Cotbyn.
It was a vote on Brexit without a doubt , millions of voters seen democracy being eroded and voted for the only party who promised to implement the referendum result ( whether they do or not is another matter) . The Westminster elite did everything to cancel out the referendum and most of the ringleaders are now out of parliament .. Whether you believe in Brexit or not ,democracy is paramount.
When I looked at the options on the voting slip it was a choice of drinking a pint of warm vomit or chopping your leg off with a rusty pen knife .. The lack of ability on offer was astonishing .
The whole of politics is completely corrupt and sadly not fit for purpose.

    One simple word. Brexit.

The Tories got back in because Boris the so called buffoon is one very clever man who played the game perfectly well with Farage whilst placing Corbyn as the son of the devil.
People didn't trust Corbyn to deliver what he promised but trusted Boris to get brexit done and to deliver on his promises on hospitals.

The public have been well and truly conned and will reap the rewards of that con by losing all of the stuff they believed was in good hands.

Somehow they refused to see what the Tories have been doing for long enough in nibbling away at the NHS and closing hospitals and taking 20 odd thousands police off the streets.

Now they pledge to build a few new hospitals, which sounds good but remember to get some money put aside each month for your Americanised medical insurance as the NHS is dismantled before your eyes whilst you concentrate on the menial things in life.

All parties are basically in it for themselves, first and foremost but for the low paid working person labour offered the best of a bad deal even if they didn't fulfill all promises.

It'll be interesting to see just how much more he can screw out of the poor, because anyone who has a few grand spare each year to see a holiday but have to economise all year round to have it....are poor but likely think they're privileged compared to those who have to economise just for the sake of staying alive.

The clever conservatives, for the few not the many.

Boris managed to gain a few north east seats. Boris will ensure those towns are more equal than others, if you get my meaning.
All those who voted for labour can at least stand up and say " I done my bit but it wasn't to be."

All those who see what's going on and have been hit by the Tories since they came in but still choose to believe it will be better this time, you want to pray to your god or pray to something that those people in power will see you ok....and if you believe you are well served by those Tories and it's a look after number one mindset, then good for you....but remember the poor and homeless will become epidemic in short order but it will be hidden behind the same old bull of:

    More people are in work.
More homes will be getting built.
New hospitals will cater for people with better facilities.
More is getting done to aid the poor and ensure the workshy contribute.

And so on and so on.

All this stuff will be pushed out and people will simply swallow it whole whilst systematically being screwed into the ground with a small turn every now and then to make the transition from feeling marginally happy from being happy to being in slow despair with zero outlook.
Basically a slave to a system that ensure you pay your way while they take it all away and giving you a sort of mindset of " I pay my taxes" or "I contribute to this country's wealth" or " my skills and people like me are why this country is a rich country."

Not many seem to stop and think what the reality is. It's basically saying that although you work to survive, you're working in order for the few to live a life of luxury on the back of your graft and for the privilege of you doing that you get to pay all of your digital earnings right back into their digital machines in order to have a few bits of what you call well earned leisure, which should be a minimal expectation for your efforts.

Boris the supposed buffoon. Everybody's friend. Environmentally friendly Boris on his bike or doing the morning milk....and all the rest of it.

I'm letting off a bit of steam here but the reality is, just take it all on the chin and keep an open mind whilst we continue to walk slowly into the oblivion that is set out for us.

That's my opinion on some of it. My opinion will not change. I've seen enough of what these effers have done to understand they're not the friend of the common people, they are the masters of your despair and your spoonfed morsels to keep you sweet enough to perform their tasks.

    Agreed.

I did think it would be a conservative majority but i didn't think it would be so large.

And your statement probably refers to more than 90% of them in Westminster.
