O/T Saturday's Daily Mirror Newspaper Price Increase

Saturday's Daily Mirror newspaper price increased 10 pence, to £1.40 pence, I pick the paper up for a fellow pensioner every Saturday. Is the paper worth the price.

You can get approx. three rolls of Andrex for that price, so I'd say not.

At only 70 pence, the Daily Mail represents a much cheaper ar se wipe

I really wouldn't know. Stopped buying a paper when they stopped publishing the Daily Sport.

Far too many advertisements in that paper now, definitely not worth the price. Eric, If you get the chance, count how many pages are adverts and let us know.

Just imagine how much it would cost without those ads. The two newspapers I worked for here were at the time around $1 to buy and around $5 to produce so ad revenue was what 'paid' for them. Mind you they were 'quality' broadsheets and did actually have to pay genuine journalists, not just reporters who cover the human interest/celebrity garbage you see in the tabloids.

Tabloids just find a few tweets from a few morons on Twitter and call it news now.
