    Something Spooky.

That’s happened to you or family.

My mum and dad were courting and visiting family in County Durham in the mid 50’s.

A lovely summers evening so they went for a walk across fields locally and my dad suddenly stopped and remarked to my mum about the lovely tune coming from the church bells ringing.

Mum looked at him like he’d lost his mind as she couldn’t hear anything and dad gave her the same look back as he told her they were still ringing and that she must be deaf!

At the time they were staying with my dad’s beloved grandma and grandad and after the walk returned home.

Whilst they’d been out his grandad had unexpectedly passed away.

Grandad’s last words to the others in the room was........”the bells.......aren’t they lovely” and an instant later he was gone.

Nobody else in the room could hear any bells.

When the “incidents” were discussed later that evening it became apparent that my dad and his grandad had heard these bells at exactly the same moment.

I’m not a religious person but I have always felt that this was more than a coincidence.

On a personal “spooky” level I have dreams about people, often famous people, who I’ve never dreamt about previously and then shortly after they die.......Michael Jackson was one.

I randomly dreamt of one of my mum’s neighbours who I’ve known since 1967 on Saturday night so for the first time ever I told my wife who was in the frame next.

    His initials are GP.

As I write this he’s still with us and in good health but he’s next on her street to go......I’ll keep you informed!

One of the spookiest things that ever happened to me was when I was in my 20’s and away at the seaside I walked past a public phone box that was ringing out.

For a laugh I picked it up and spoke to the person on the other end.

It was a friend of mine who had rung a wrong number.

    I s h I t you not..........can any of you beat this random nonsense?

I owned the worst car ever built for 3 years, a mini back in the early 80s. I eventually sold it for scrap as it was really a pile of old tat and that was when it was new! I was gobsmacked when visiting Bournemouth, around 20 years later, that I saw it parked outside a pub over 300 miles from where I sold it and it still looked like a pile of scrap.

My late Mum used to live in a house in Halesowen and one day she received a knock on the door from her next door neighbour, who asked her if anyone had died in that house. She replied that Mr H has passed away there. The neighbour asked whether Mr H had ginger hair, walked with a stoop and with the aid of a stick; my mother confirmed that description and asked why did he ask, the neighbour replied that ‘....he walks around this house every night’!

I dreamt i was on Concorde and it had difficulty gaining height and then plunged to the ground near an hotel, a week or so later it happened for real. How weird was that? I think we could all be connected in one way or another, maybe everyone on Earth is really just one creature that constantly changes shape as parts of it die. We are the eyes of the Universe, the Universe gave us eyes so that we would know it was there. There would be no point of the Universe if nothing could see it.

Ketts, when my wife worked for social services she said two colleagues went to tend an old lady in Halesowen. When they got there they saw an old man with a stick getting up to turn the TV off in the front room, the light was on and they saw him clearly. They thought nothing of it but next day they asked their boss why the lady needed their support when she had a husband. They were told that the husband had died two years previously. This made them ill, the boss went back with them the next night and told the old lady what had happened. She asked them to describe him, and then said, yes, that was my husband. She then produced a photo of him, one girl packed in the job there and then and the other was told she need not go there again. Make of it what you will, but two people seeing the same thing..

When I was 14 as homework we were told to go to all the churchyards in the area to find the oldest dates on the headstones, we were standing in a small area of clear ground when suddenly every hair on body stood up and I had to get out of that particular churchyard, I jumped on my bike and absolutely flew down the road until I was knackered and had to stop.

Three years later my mother (aged only 60 bless her) was laid to rest on the very spot where I had stood that night.

    Talking of church yards.

When I was 17 I s h a g g e d a girl in Pedmore church yard in the middle of winter with a foot of snow on the ground.

I held her up in the against the rear church door air whilst poking her then realised there was a gargoyle either side of the door peering at me out of the gloom.

It was hard to judge which was the more hideous, the bird or the gargoyles.

    Anyway.....sorry to digress🤭

I was driving back from Walsall aged 16 with 3 other people in the car at about midnight

Got to M5 Junction 2 and stopped at the top of the slip road looked right and saw a bloke but carried on turning left towards the Hawthorns to drop them in Handsworth
They all started screaming as the guy we saw disappeared

They were properly freaked out, all I saw was a person then no one in my mirror when they started screaming

Weird one, but to this day they swear the bloke just disappeared and was in old fashioned clothes
I just remember a bloke with a very white face but turned left and carried on
