That’s happened to you or family.
My mum and dad were courting and visiting family in County Durham in the mid 50’s.
A lovely summers evening so they went for a walk across fields locally and my dad suddenly stopped and remarked to my mum about the lovely tune coming from the church bells ringing.
Mum looked at him like he’d lost his mind as she couldn’t hear anything and dad gave her the same look back as he told her they were still ringing and that she must be deaf!
At the time they were staying with my dad’s beloved grandma and grandad and after the walk returned home.
Whilst they’d been out his grandad had unexpectedly passed away.
Grandad’s last words to the others in the room was........”the bells.......aren’t they lovely” and an instant later he was gone.
Nobody else in the room could hear any bells.
When the “incidents” were discussed later that evening it became apparent that my dad and his grandad had heard these bells at exactly the same moment.
I’m not a religious person but I have always felt that this was more than a coincidence.
On a personal “spooky” level I have dreams about people, often famous people, who I’ve never dreamt about previously and then shortly after they die.......Michael Jackson was one.
I randomly dreamt of one of my mum’s neighbours who I’ve known since 1967 on Saturday night so for the first time ever I told my wife who was in the frame next.
His initials are GP.
As I write this he’s still with us and in good health but he’s next on her street to go......I’ll keep you informed!
One of the spookiest things that ever happened to me was when I was in my 20’s and away at the seaside I walked past a public phone box that was ringing out.
For a laugh I picked it up and spoke to the person on the other end.
It was a friend of mine who had rung a wrong number.
I s h I t you not..........can any of you beat this random nonsense?
