My wife wants me to miss the match on Saturday

The only time i ever miss a match is if she is unwell. She is worried about this coronavirus and says because of my age, health unstable angina (3 bad ones this week) work related lung condition, i should give the match a miss.
I went against her advice before, 2 days after my ist mini stroke and went to the Albion v Wolves derby shouldn't have gone put my recovery back weeks.
But with this virus, i am also putting her a risk.

I nearly didn’t go to the Newcastle match because of the virus Lloyd.

I do have to admit that it would be perhaps a bit selfish and foolish for you to go old chap.

There’s more to life than football mate and you need to be around to enjoy the Prem again next season.

Hi, with the average age on this forum, a lot will fall into the higher risk group anyone else thinking of missing the match.

Health keeps me away nearly all the time these days, it has to be a really warm day for me to sit still for 90 minutes.

Bit of a bummer but that's life.

BaggieAl is missing it due to his health issues and I’m less than 50/50 now.

At the Newcastle match I stood at the back of the Woodman Corner where the “Sit down Nazi’s” don’t patrol.

Doing that and avoiding the scruffy and smelly looking fans helped.

It was quite a task though😩

    Soulman.
I can see it is a dilemma for you and the only safe answer is that you stay away or find some way to go whereby you don't come in contact with anyone (pretty impossible).
However, people are catching trains every day (though they are probably a lot younger).
I for one will be attending the match with a beer or possibly 2 beforehand, but its still 3 days to go before the match so anything could happen and none of us may be able to go.

If you are over 55 years of age and not in great health as a base line anyway....I would suggest you stay away from the ground and the crowds.Transmission can come from somebody who as of yet...shows no outwards signs....Thats the danger presently....But the risk is yours to assess....
