Yeah 14 billion is a lot of money and but I don’t think the UK donates this for purely altruistic reasons

I don’t say trade bribes but it will certainly buys lots of influence in certain key countries.....,

Btw - If it was a choice that I had I rather spend it in UK on the NHS or housing but I suspect if it was cut completely it would just be used for tax cuts for the Uber wealthy

Agree with some of that but when carers allowance is £60 odd per week in this country, 6 million people have no acess to any form of sick pay and the Govt is preparing for mass burials (worst case scenario) it makes sending 14 billion out with these shores even more ridiculous.

I've no doubt if Scotland went independent our foreign aid budget wud increase per head of population.

It's the type of virtue signalling the main stream political parties in Scotland love to do.

They want the rest of the world to tell us we are brilliant when in reality they hardly know we exist.

The Dundee West SNP MP Chris Law continually asks pointless questions at Westminster about foreign aid and and foreign matters requesting a Written Answer at a cost to the taxpayer of £160 per question (Source Freedom of Information).
Chris Law is forever going on jaunts abroad at our expense. He should be looking after his constituents instead of building up his air miles total to pay for his own summer holidays.

As a constituent in Dundee West I am very much behind our local MP and his important fact finding missions across the world.

I’d much rather he was making an arse of things there than here 😀

As an aside.....he doesn’t live here and his constituency office never answers. He’s lucky the SNP doesn’t have a customer service department!!
