    They hit them with sticks in India. People are selfish. No consideration at all for front line workers.

    My wife is of the opinion we are back onto the 'herd immunity' policy favoured by Dominic Cummings. It has been shown the NHS can cope so the more of us that get it this time around the more immune as a population we become. Hence lockdown is not strictly enforced.

    Anectdotally I heard our local hospital has less patients than normal as all the non urgents have been sent home and the numbers of coronavirus patients not as great as feared. However the staff are incredibly stressed by the need to keep donning the PPE and the continuity of its supply.

    In any pandemic, even a normal flu epidemic, NHS workers are stretched to the limit. This one has caught everyone off guard.
