    im surprised by the negativity

our club is getting from the fans of some other clubs.

I even saw a comment on Twitter by a Man City fan calling us plastic fans!
Bloody hell these ****ers have had two takeovers since we have had Ashley.

You would think that the extra challenge would make the league more exciting for fans and the fans of the top top teams would be like "bring it on geordies"!................ but no, its a massive flounce ffs

Look at hw many top flight sides have been taken over and not a thing said in the media and the like about it, yet as soon as its our club, theres no limit to the shlt that gets thrown at us

I am loving it. Apparently we are only big in Newcastle, well I am happy with that. Apparently we are now hated across the country and possibly Europe, well that will do me as well. They are all worried that if we do win something they will all be shown up for the embarrassment they all are. We will show them how celebrations are done.

    Succinctly put.

For me, Man City is the definition of plastic in football (sorry - to their relatively few, true supporters). Where they are cheese, Toon fans are chalk. Sure, we will acquire plastics going forward but anyone who still supports the club now after what we've been through is made of steel, not plastic.

Some admit it is the best support in the country but most won’t bring themselves to and so resent it instead.
The epitome of real fans; genuine fans.

We have suffered; in my life time of 40 yrs, I have seen us win nothing. I have enjoyed the entertainers; my first match (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaeiOlYdd4o - just found the highlights) a 4-0 thrashing at Southend.

My grandad reassured me that it wouldn't get any worse. There were equally sh!tty performances haha.

I wasn't bothered, the language, the chants, the humour of the travelling fans had me hooked.

I've sat in the old stands before the Hall/Sheppard regeneration getting lashed with Hail stones whilst watching us taking a drubbing, clogging it about on a SJP quagmire.

I have loved every minute, the freezing toes, the old boy chain smoking roll-ups in front of me, travelling hours and hours, cancelled trains, motorway delays, european nights, laughing so hard beer shot out my nose, sing and shouting until I lost my voice.

What it means to be a Geordie, what it means to be born of this tribe.

Geordie-Saud when two tribes combine to go to war with the rest of the world!

Because of my age I have seen us win trophies,I was a bit young to appreciate the 51 and52 finals but watched us beat Man City in 1955 on a Redifusion shop window. Then there was the Fairs cup win and nothing since.

I don't expect us to start winning trophies straight away but with money behind us we will at least start to compete.
