Promotion Monday or Tuesday

There seems to be too many journalists now reporting that Leagues One and Two won't be continuing. The vote of chairmen seem to have been cast according to reports that I've read with the majority saying that it would be unfair to not allow promotion to the teams that have earned it.

Coventry - Champions and rightly so. They have had a terrific season on top of playing home games in Birmingham
Rotherham United - Second place
Oxford United - 3rd place the majority of reporters are saying. Only one has written Wycombe which is strange as they're sighting PPG (points per games)

Tranmere, Southend and Bolton are relegated.

These reports are keeping open the chance that both the Championship and Premiership competitions could still be completed. I believe that if memory serves me that all leagues have to anounce to EUFA by th 25th May their intentions.

Either way this season has been filled with every emotion that a supporter would want apart from not enough football.

I've always believed that points per game was the fairest way to go. On that basis I thought that Wycombe would get the 3rd promotion spot.
However - Matt Slater suggests it will be ppg "weighted for home/away games"
That is :
For home games remaining you get average ppg per home games so far
For away games same principle applies.
I had not considered this "weighting" but it makes sense
Under that system my calculations (to 3 decimal places) show that Oxford would remain 3rd, Wycombe would be 6th. Even rounding to full points for home and away the first 3 places do not rely on gd

Gets my vote that ppg on both so far this season home & away games.

I was just reading the Yellows Forum. One of their fans was laughing about a post on the Sunderland forum where one of their fans suggested that teams with the largest fan base should go up, with his reasoning being that more fans will be happy. I thought it was funny.

To be fair I think the Sunderland fans are very well humoured and are pretty self deprecating, maybe because they shouldn’t be in the first division anyway.

I'd prefer wycombe to go up with us than oxford cos I think they would be more likely to finish below us...

Teams like Sunderland and Ipswich have no argument in it because they have also played more games than the top teams. If we do go up we can at least be grateful that the bug has got us promotion because I think we were just in the process of blowing it if that Rochdale debacle was owt to go on...
