Looks like the second wave is well on its way. Pubs/Restaurants should close again and all gathering of more than 30 people banned with huge fines - this should include football fans gathering - protests - church services - any religious celebrations and any work places not adhering to social distance. Boris should also temporarily seal the borders.

Another lock down and the economy is seriously f ucked so the government can't respond too late this time.

As Mick has also said - the new season is pointless and actually encourages gatherings so f uck the money and suspend the season start date until this is seriously sorted once and for good.

Although I’ve had a good run since March with customers playing outdoor summer sports I really am concerned about this autumn and winter.

I can’t see any way squash and racketball and possibly badminton doubles can be played.

I can understand the worry my supply chains effectively dried up over the last lockdown leaving me without products to sell. I sell media products all over the world on various selling platforms and traded daily. Now I sell weekends only in order to protect stock levels and have been for the past 12 weeks. Suffice to say my profits have dropped alarmingly.

A man of your means Mick should think outside of the box! No tennis - No Rackets - No Squash is awful! In a lock down there will always be a demand for playing in the bedroom - can your supplier in China not send over ground breaking rabbit vibrators or Viagra with your brand on it!

I'm mainly an antiquarian book trader dealing in first editions both old and contemporary. I travel to most areas to buy good material, my main interest is buying books, maps, manuscripts but also other media items of rarity such as photographs and albums, diaries and archives, fashion and music memorabilia, postcards, stamp albums and so on.If it’s on paper I'm interested, most contacts give me a call. I'll travel anywhere within reason to buy good quality collections. So during lockdown most calls and contacts vanished, things are picking up a bit now but no where near pre lockdown.

There won't be a second lockdown imo, as the country cannot afford it, and I know that sounds terrible, but that is why they are doing the local lockdown instead.

The economy is truly knackered and will take years to get back to what it was.

I personally don't believe in this approach, but it is one I think they will take given the announcement of that old drug reducing the number of deaths by a third a few weeks ago.

We just have to pray that one of the 4 (if not all 4) of the vaccines we have bought actually works.

Oh, and forget about attending matches in October.

Your right Blood - another lock down won’t happen as the economy is already in pieces. It’s safer in most places in Europe than here and it’s a scare tactic to keep people here to boost the economy for sure!

Thing is - who wants to pay through the roof to go to a seaside resort here risking the weather? Not me as sadly places in this country don’t float my boat! Everyone to their own I suppose!
