    Some Observations

Didn't want to be all negative, so I've tried to be balanced...

    Some positives
    - I thought our best period of the game was the first 30 mins or so, we looked reasonably solid and we looked a threat going forward
    - I think Furlong played pretty well and got in behind that full back a couple of times
    - Leicester are a very good side, they'll be a hard game for anyone. And they'll finish in the top 8 this season. Its deflating, but its not like losing at home to another side in the bottom half
    - The transfer window is still open. The side playing today won't be our full strength side at the end of the window.

Some Negatives (of which there were a few, so I've scaled this down a bit)
    - We looked ineffective going forwards, a bit clueless even. No shots on target, and really carried no attacking threat 2nd half.
    - Our substitutions, offered us nothing. And to be honest aren't good enough for this level. Harper, Edwards and HRK. The first two should probably be out on loan in the championship
    - Felt their goal was coming, they dictated the game from about 30mins onwards. I don't think Bilic got the tactics wrong, it worked at the start of the game, but he could have tweaked it around half time.
    - I don't see Bartley or O'Shea as good enough. Question marks over a few others as well. In fact, the only one of the back 5 that started today who I think is Prem quality is Ajayi.
    - Sawyers, had a terrible game. Serious question marks about him already. He's not a box to box midfielder. His best position is sitting in front of the defence in a 'quarterback' type position. But he gave the ball away far too often and was probably most at fault for their first goal

    Some Hopeful thoughts
Its not like we lost to a Fulham at home. A lot depends on who we bring in, if Grant, Gallagher and Ivanovic sign then that's 3 players who will automatically come into the spine of the team. We probably need 5 more players in total to just compete and we know we haven't got the funds for that.

Finish 17th or above and Bilic would have worked wonders this season. I still think we have the best manager we could possibly have to achieve that.

Have to agree with everything you say 123 except your opinion of Ajayi today. I thought that the way he was left for dead by Barnes was worrying. Maybe playing alongside Ivanovic will help him.

I think that we have the makings of an attractive and successful side, just not in this season or this division.

Didn’t notice him to be honest! He should have gone on loan rather than Tulloch! Harper is like Field not good enough and average at best for the championship!

I can't understand why Field isn't ahead of Harper in the pecking order. He is older and more experienced, and a better player in my opinion. In fact, and I don't want to keep bashing Sawyers, but he would have been an improvement on him yesterday.

Grounds being closed might turn out to be a good thing as it will save me a lot of money watching us getting beaten!
