What do refs know? charlie nicholas says obvious red and all the rest of so called west coast experts. They seem to think utd players should get out of road if alfie goin for the ball.
Absolutely the correct decision.
Not writing him off but he has looked poor, hopefully prove my doubts on him wrong given its only two appearances.. but if he isn't in the team on Saturday, at this stage I'll not be disappointed.
He seems very pedestrian and will hopefully improve with fitness. Hopefully.
It was a perfect tackle and showed a bit of gusto which is all too often missing, well done to him.
How did it ever get to any type of panel? The ref saw it, dealt with it. Acknowledged it was a simple issue. Back to the same old SFA bias and having so called experts and pundits who are simply totally schecht and pretty self serving and ignorant.
Good old Daily Rangers - 'Ryan Edwards has dodged retrospective action' and he 'escapes a ban after Alfie clash'. Excellent unbiased reporting as ever.
This all started with Alex Rae on currant bun TV setting the narrative. He immediately declared Edwards meant it and it was a horrendous tackle. I'm glad the panel weren't swayed by the the lynch mob. Dermot Gallagher examining it on Sky didn't even think it was a foul.
Did you also notice that they described almost every foul by a United player as 'cynical'?
Remember also the game at Ibrox where Mark de Vries got booked just for scoring a goal against oldco? Take a bow Mike McCurry.
I suspect that if there had been a crowd in last Saturday, the ref would have gave them the red card the card they were slavering for.
