Why not make a top 6 league and let them play among themselves.

The league should be abandoned now. This is how bad football has fallen too...While the world grapples with a pandemic....football is behind the scenes trying to find more ways of grabbing more money for the elite, while all other levels of football crashes in to the ground....
No surprise here really...in week when the richest percent of billionaires upped there over all gains by 25%!!!
The system is stinking from top to bottom.......

I don’t think the rest of the country would miss the top clubs.

Maybe they should play in a European super League and play their reserves in the English leagues and end up where they end up.

Send Man Utd, Man City, Liverdole, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea to a super league, they won’t be missed, see how many of their plastic fans go to games then.

I wonder how much truth there is in this report?

Fundamentally the proposals for relegation/promotion with no parachute payments make no sense are surely are not workable. The income for the teams in the Championship would almost certainly mean that no side coming up could remain in an 18 team PL unless they were massively supported by some mega rich person/state that was prepared to throw mega amounts at it for several seasons.

Having said this I would be more than happy for the top 6 to set up a European super league with the likes of PSG etc but I suspect that there is little appetite for this closed shop league across Europe so they are probably trying to come up with other ideas to keep the money washing around the mega rich clubs but with even more protection.

Needs to be a salary cap of 49 grand a week and supporters to own part of their club! So f uck off Zohore and another f uck off to that little tosser in China!

Premier clubs should should donate 10 million of their Sky money to the lower leagues too. Football is about supporters and the community which the Premier league have lost touch with over the years. How can Harry Kane earn more than a brain surgeon? This particular surgeon could do Kane a favor that’s for sure!

I agree the Top Six or Top 8 should create their own “super league”. For the rest left in the Prem set salary caps, limits on foreign ownership and Limits on overseas player. You would then have an exciting product worth watching and one where all teams have chance of winning.

It's just one big 'stitch up' by the top six and their billionaire owners. What is proposed now is a just short term gain and will not help the smaller clubs in the long term. I've got an idea, why don't the EFL expel the top six and reorganise in a way that will actually help all the rest in the future. With a bit of luck there'll be nowhere for those six to go so they'll have to play each other week in, week out. That would be fun for them!
