Where do you put your money.
Me and brother have had 18 x £25 wins on our premium bonds this year.
Going to get some more next year, chance to win big or easily beat any interest rate on offer.
Sold my shares a few years ago.

Sold my shares a few years ago.
I put mist of what I had into buying rental properties nearly 20 years ago, I have very little in pensions.
As an investment it’s hard to beat gold Lloyd........if you look at the gold price compared to last year it’s miles up.
I also think it’s worth looking at things that you use a lot that may well increase in price this year and stockpile.
My wife saw some crazily low prices on our favourite Nescafé Coffee in the summer and bought loads of it.
Sometimes it’s the money you can save now that’s more useful an “investment” of your ready cash.
Coming up to retirement I had a number of pensions (from previous employment) and a saving ISA going, so I took the advice of a freind and consulted a financial adviser who sorted the whole thing out for me into two savings pots. With that, I knew how I stood financially and was able to make the decision to retire early. As mickd1961 has said, the pension took a big hit early in the year, but is now nearly back pre Covid amount. The combined is now earning me about £1000 per month. If you have a bit of a lump sum I would certainly get hold of some expert advice
Premium bonds are great if you have 10,000 plus in there but I'm considering windfarm tech. Just thinking about it at the moment.
I have a few rental properties but selling them off now. Enjoy the sight of an early month email from NS&I, never won more than £25.00 but it beats currently low interest rates.
Hi soulman, Whilst property is not a licence to print money that some may think it is I have made money, enjoyed it and met some nice people. I've also been lucky in having decent tenants, however, I have always treated tenants properly and provided decent homes at a decent rent. My motto has been ' would i live here?' - if not I haven't gone ahead with the purchase.
I’ve had the same ethos Sharon, if it wasn’t in a state for me to move into and be happy with then it wasn’t good enough.
I’ve had some great tenants but some awful ones as well.
Recently I had to serve three months notice on a “single” mother who had two different live in boyfriends in a six month period and neither was on the rental agreement.
A baby in the house yet constant all night party’s upsetting my adjoining tenant and other neighbours in the vicinity.
Drug use, abuse of neighbours and a house in which not a window or blind was opened during the nine months she was there.
Utter scum and in a nice area as well.
Tenants are becoming more and more of a problem, I have thought about selling all of mine and buying another coastal property for personal use and renting out because “staycation” type holidays are going to be massive in coming years and you get to use yourself.
My rentals are in the Wollaston area of Stourbridge, where do you have yours?
Hi Mick, Pensnett, Brierley Hill,Gornal. Have sold three in last year, time to get out me thinks, however, still remains one of the best things I ever did. If your holiday rentals are dog-friendly drop me a PM!!
Having lost an efficiency packet after looking really good in the tech boom a while ago I’ve been off share investments
But a mate of mine has done incredibly well last 6 months and my manages funds not so much
So am very tempted at a few companies on his portfolio, my missus isn’t very happy but I’m very tempted to have a punt
With rentals I’ve also not had a lot of luck tbh, especially now the govt are hammering buy to lets
