Biggest Shock of the PL Season so far

Not sure which of these I would choose. Aston Villa 7 Liverpool 2, Liverpool 0 Burnley 1 or Manchester United 1 Sheffield United 2. I am inclined to choose Liverpool’s defeat at Aston Villa. Although Alisson was injured and Adrian deputised in goal Liverpool fielded their strongest back four with TAA and Robertson lining up alongside Gomez and VVD.

I am a supporter of Burnley, I do not care about any of the 'big clubs'. So what concerns me most is Burnley. It is a love affair. That's life! Always with life there is sentiment or love. So for all on this forum it can only be the sentiment being Burnley!

I didn't think Sheffield United winning at Old Trafford was a shock, a surprise maybe, but not a shock to anyone who's been looking at Sheffield United's results this season. No one has blown them away, only 4 teams have managed to score more that two goals against them, all four of them top 6 teams, 11 of their defeats have been by just one goal. They are far more competitive, and by no means as out of their depth, as the league table might indicate, that they'd eventually come out of one of these close games on the right side is no shock, they always were going to do so eventually, just a bit surprising maybe that it came at Old Trafford.

Sinkov is the number one wind up merchant on here, I put it down to several incidents that involved blunt head trauma when he was in the Fire Service.

Not a shock to me, look at some of their previous results,

Arsenal 2 Sheff U 1
Liverpool 2 Sheff U 1
Sheff U 0 City 1
Sheff U 1 Leicester 2
Sheff U 2 United 3
Sheff U 0 Everton 1

They were in all those games, against the best in the league, with a chance of a result, right up to the final whistle. In that context why is United 1 Sheff U 2 a shock, it was the sort of result that was bound to happen sooner or later. Look at today's result City 1 Sheff U 0, 180 plus minutes this season against City and they've conceded just 2 goals.

The league table might not lie, but it can mislead, you need to delve a little bit deeper over your cornflakes in the morning, instead of just a superficial glance at the bottom of the table, then you get fewer shocks to the system.
