    Tonight’s BBC Question Time

I have just watched tonight’s BBC Question Time which was broadcast from Edinburgh.
Instead of each political party having one panellist there were two pro independence panellists.
Jeanne Freeman who is an SNP MSP and has been a disaster as the cabinet secretary for Health at Holyrood.
Angela Haggarty who,was listed as a journalist and broadcaster is a pro independence supporter and in 2014 became editor of CommonSpace the website of the pro-independence think tank the Common Weal.
Haggarty also got herself into bother with Rangers FC when she co-authored a book about their liquidation.
Angela Haggarty who now lives in London was hopeless as a panellist stated that as we are in a pandemic the Scottish public should not expect Nicola Sturgeon to resign as First Minister if it is proved that she has broken the ministerial code.
This is an unbelievable statement but not unexpected from a pro independence supporter who wants Scotland to become an independent country.
The question is will Angela Haggarty remain enjoying the trappings of life living in London, England or return to live in an independent Scotland. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Haggerty

    Very blinkered view there Islay.

Why criticise Angela Haggerty for telling the truth about Rangers' liquidation?

I can't however agree with her that the Sturgfuhrer shouldn't resign if found to have broken the ministerial code - which we may well discover are more a set of guidelines than a code. Pandemic or no pandemic she would have to go and public pressure would probably make sure she did.

She has in my opinion been part ( however small) of a conspiracy to put Salmond behind bars for the rest of his life and the subsequent cover up.

Resigning should be the least of her worries.

Excellent letter from the ex convener of Edinburgh south SNP branch yesterday on why he gave up his party membership.....gives a very good insight into the mindset of those running the SNP.

The "wheeest for Indy" mantra is damning for the SNP.

I am surprised you watch this programme. It has gone from an informative discussion where people with interesting and varied views have been replaced by people who have agendas and who want to publicise their views. Apologies somehow picked up this quote. Should have been Islay's.

I only watched this Question Time when I noticed that Jeanne Freeman the Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for Health was one of the panellists. I was hoping that one of the audience would ask her why the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh was still not finished and open for business.
Sadly there were too many SNP supporters in the audience to ask a sensible question like that especially as it now going to cost a lot more than the original cost.

It can't cost more than the original cost now can it? The original cost will be the final cost, i.e. the total spend, when it opens.

Did you mean the final cost is likely to be more than the original budget? If so can you confirm that you understand that very few major capital projects will actually complete on time and come in on budget?

If you do understand can you then explain why it's such a huge issue that this particular project has gone late and over budget?

I would think the reason is because it's a hospital and a childrens one at that, folk don't care so much when a school or daft trams lines go late. Plus the possible massive financial risks if that hospital goes anything like the new Glasgow one did with law suits.
