Lorimer- good player in a dirty team

I was sorry to hear about the passing of this good footballer. Not the sort of news you like to hear about at any time. The only thing I remember about him, was that he had one hell of a right foot. Both direct and a very hard shot to go with it. I think the likes of him and other members of his team ,would have carried more respect, had their team had a more clean cut image. Unfortunately, at their height, Leeds United and Don Revie we’re allowed to get away with murder during their heyday. It wouldn’t happen today, of course.
RIP Peter. You were a good player, unfortunately you played for the wrong club.

Yes.RIP Peter. As you say one hell of a shot on him.

Personally my favourite Leeds player was always Eddie Gray despite the famous goal he scored against us.

He once took a penalty for Leeds towards the Cricket Field End. Adam Blacklaw was in the nets.

Lorimer hit it straight down the middle, I swear to God if it had hit Adam on the head it would have killed him.

    R.I.P. Peter and God's speed.
