We’ve been touted as an unpopular club and I do think any England call ups have been almost reluctant. Berahino gets called up and gets no minutes. Johnstone now and surely he could have got some minutes v San Marino? Jeff Astle took an age to be called up. Statham never even given a chance. I know there are other factors involved but If these had been Leeds players or Villa players would things have been different? I think there’s been a stuck record in the Prem (And old division one) for decades.

Statham’s treatment was a joke.

That f u c k I n g Toby Jug Kenny Sansom got 80 odd caps and wasn’t fit to lace Derek’s boots.

Possibly the most Southerly biased pick of my lifetime.

Statham was a genius, the most exciting and talented English left back of my lifetime.
