    Vile at it again

Taken Tim Iroegbunam after he rejected our contract offer.

There really is no point in having an academy.

Maybe it's our contract offer's that are the problem?
But maybe there is a Villa mole in the academy. Becoming too frequent now for coincidence.

Hi, we have signed all of other young players up who had offers from other clubs ,got to the vile tapping them up.
The one that the vile got, had a good honest contract offer made from us, But that's Albion we always work within the rules.
I know one Albion manager from the past, who fell out with the club over not signing a player who wanted a tax free backhander to sign for us.

They're being tapped up by our former coaches (allegedly) who upped sticks and left for the Vile on double the money.

The Vile are offering first year pros more than we can afford in the hope we close our academy so they can have the pick of local talent pretty much to themselves.

Arrogant as ever, cynical and sadly perfectly within the rules regarding first time professional contracts which can't be signed until players turn sevent een.

The whole system is lopsided and unfit for purpose but will stay as it is for as long as the Man City's etc. want it to be. The Villa are benefitting from their slip stream.

Luckily a number of our other promising youngsters have remained. What gets my goat about this lad is that he was probably in with a genuine chance of first team involvement with us this season.

This is always being quoted about youth players 68 but how many actually ever come through?

One of my friends is close friends with Sam Field and his dad.

Four years ago Pullis told Sam’s dad he was the best young midfielder he’d ever worked with and was going to be an integral part of the first team squad, this was the year we got relegated under Pullis and Pardew.

It doesn’t matter how good our youngsters are we don’t seem to play them.

ASA Hartford, Derek Statham, Bryan Robson, Carlton Palmer, David Burrows............

A pitiful number and nobody of real substance for a very long time apart from Betahino.

I don’t suppose Callum Morton will ever get a game for us either!

We need to stop holding kids back and to actually give them a proper go, no wonder they p I s s off elsewhere, our record of giving them a chance is dismal
