Wearing masks at the ground ?

We’re looking forward to returning to our old seats and catching up with neighbouring pals. Whilst ‘self protection’ is minuscule via wearing the mask, some of of adjacent neighbours will be high risk and accordingly we are planning to wear ours.
    Anyone else ?

Completely respect what you intend to do Prando.Thinking of others is very important. Perhaps I'm being too careful as I haven't purchased my season ticket yet. I'm waiting to see how the situation pans out. Mind you, I'm being inconsistent as I attended the first day of the England v. India Test on Wednesday.

Just an aside. The cover on the programme for this game read ' England Men v. India Men'. What is the world coming to? Didn't buy one by the way.

I’m not wearing a mask at a football match.

If other people feel they have health vulnerabilities then they need to make the decision not to attend.

A football match is not a necessity to attend, it’s a personal choice whereas shopping for food etc IS a necessity and respecting other people’s health is totally acceptable.

When flu or bronchitis is doing the rounds during winter we don’t wear masks at matches and “vulnerable” people don’t wear one or expect others to wear one so how is this different.

People need to understand that if we as members of the public continue to self impose masks on ourselves we will be doing this forever.

Good luck trying to watch a match in winter with glasses on and a mask, you might as well try watching it from inside MacDonalds across the road from the ground!

I shall wear one while I'm queuing to get in and under the stand till i get to my seat then I shall remove it during the game then slip it on at the end of the game until I get clear of the crowd outside the ground. Everyone needs to do what they feel comfortable with, if you don't think its worth wearing one then don't.

I'm very apprehensive of going. My wife doesn't want me go , I take my niece and her son. If I go I feel I'm letting my wife down and putting her at risk, if I don't go I'm letting my niece and our Reece down.
I've got a chest infection at the moment ,so feel in limbo at the moment.
Hate the thought of not going.

You’ve answered your own question here Lloyd.

Why on earth would you turn up with a chest infection and potentially make other people sick , sorry mate but that’s just selfish and it’s also not good for you as you could catch Covid whilst you also have this illness and your wife and Reece then potentially lose you for good.

I’ve just come to the end of a three week chest infection and I even stayed away from my own grandsons birthday out of respect for others.

Grown ups need to start making grown up decisions and this one is a no brainer.

Apparently this athlete in Tokyo had not got his mask so he had to borrow his mates soiled underpants. Face nappy indeed
