    Looking on the bright side.

    Two positives from today,

    1) We're in quite a healthy position in the league.....14th.

    2) There were no sightings, as far as I'm aware, of Aaron Lennon.

It's not all doom and gloom.

Don’t know but I’d have booed at him as much as taking the knee if I’d known he was.
He’s a lot to answer for.

Aww Im tempted to make a joke about garlic and vampires here guys... but I won't.

You do have to look for the positives though, as hard as it might feel right now.

There are none Acido. It's back to the Championship for us.

And how many times have they proved you wrong ehh Beds lol, always remember that.
I don't particularly care about the likes of Brighton Fc and what they do in this or in any season to be honest. But I will ask about the match against them, did they deserve the win or do you think you were unlucky. And it is of course only the first game after all!.

After seeing our display today, we have until 31st August to get rid of the deadwood and replace them with reasonable players with some ambition and hopefully flair if we want to stay in the premier league. Signing the likes of Lennon should not be an option.

Unfortunately we are more likely to see one or more of our better players leaving before the window closes and who could blame them for wanting to get away.

We also need to review are tactics as 35% possession playing at home against a potentially relegation candidate is pathetic.

I agree Vintage. To keep saying that we can compete at this level with the squad we have is delusional. Any opposition that has 65% possession will create chances and probably convert at least one. Our attacking options are Plan A only - Wood, Barnes and Jay Rod have little pace. Vydra has pace but warms the bench. McNeil and JBG go AWOL too often and the midfield is too often overrun. It worked well in the first half, but once Potter changed the set - up our tactics stayed the same, except that McNeil, JBG, Wood and Jay Rod barely featured in the second half. 11 against 7.

I absolutely love winning on the opening day and to do it away from home is even better. Really has put me in a good mood.
It felt a bit of a smash and grab but what a manager Potter is.

    Happy birthday Neal Maupay
