Roberts- Welsh fans can’t believe the transfer fee.

£2.5m for a regular Welsh international. Dependable player with a good engine, amongst other attributes. Once SD gets to work on him ,it seems to me we’ll have a very good player for a few years to come. No wonder Welsh fans think we have a better buy than all the others in this window.

Can this son of the Principality centre a ball, can he bend it like Beckham, whip it in on the run like Tripps could, or even Matty could on occasion, can he land it on Wood's noggin with unerring regularity ? That's what I want to know, because if he can't, he's a waste of space, time and money.

I watched a few clips of him sinkov and he looks like a clone of Josh Brownhill with a better right foot.

At £2.5 million I think he more than justifies a gamble. This is exactly the sort of buy we need to be doing with regularity and well done to whoever f*cked Rigg off and spotted this bargain based opportunity.

I am guessing that there will be a transition. Bardsley’s contract will expire. Lawton will be first choice, with Roberts playing in cup matches. Ultimately, Lowton will be phased out, with Roberts as first choice.

At £2.5 million it's hardly a gamble BT, a good signing at that price, no complaints from me. If he turns out to be a good PL RB, and he may well, great, if he doesn't, not much lost is there, nothing not to like.

I'm not mithering about him, nor Cornet, I'm mithering about nothing done up front where we pay good money to three non-scoring strikers, 7 PL goals between them last season, and feck all done to improve the situation, I'm mithering about our midfield, 3 players to cover two positions, Cork and Westwood both over 30 years old, Cork just coming back from a long absence due to a serious injury, and 38 PL games plus Cup matches to play, no respite for them, we haven't even invested in state of the art Zimmer frames to help them get around the pitch. Best of luck with that.

Bottom line BT is that we have been conned, new owners were supposed to 'invest' in the team, invest more money than Garlick could, but they haven't, Garlick spent over £40 million on the team in the 2018/19 season windows, this bunch of charlatans have had two windows and spent about £17 million. And the fans are happy ? Spending less than Garlick and they're happy ? Go on then, if you say so. And Garlick also managed to stash £50 million in the Dry Powder store, that's empty now.

But everyone except me is happy ? I was the only one not out singing and dancing in Burnley town centre last night, celebrating the closure of a highly successful transfer window for BFC ?

    Feck off.
