    Post Starting 11 v Woking

Interesting match up against Woking with a complete contrast in styles.

    Patterson

    Brindley Lacey Brennan Taylor

    Vincent Palmer

    Nemane Rodriguez Mitchell

    Wootton

4 at the back for me to counteract Woking direct attacking play.

Vincent to replace Francis to add some energy and physicality to the midfield. Francis just isn't cutting it for me currently

Nemane on the right. It's about time he got a proper run out to see what he is capable off. He's not a wing back for me so playing 4 at the back allows him to focus on attacking.

Mitchell in on the left for 2 reasons. 1, he's a good player and due a goal and 2 his height at defending set pieces will be a big help against the land of the giants.

There you go IB, copy that and you'll be fine

Doesn't look half bad to me Carlton, makes sense to me.

Real shame we haven't got Cameron or Rawlinson playing to help out against the expected aerial bombardment.

If they are both fit, I'd bring them both in for Brennan and Taylor, playing Cameron at LB.

Just a question and it's a genuine one, what have you seen in Mitchell in a Notts shirt to say he is a good player? I have only seen 2 games live ( Torquay and Maidenhead) and I'm not seeing it yet. Maybe it's coming, but I'm not convinced

Pace that can beat a man one on one as shown in setting up Roberts goal against Aldershot (?)

We also have to remember he's playing out of position on the left hand side and Notts slow build up tactics don't really play to his strengths imo

Ok. I want him to succeed as everyone does I'm sure, I just don't see it.. I know he is public enemy no 1 on here but Eli Sam scored goals and set them up last season, but apparently not fit to be a professional footballer according to some on here. If he was given any sort of decent run then I think we see a good player. That's one of the things I'm comparing Kairo with. Has he done anything that Eli hasn't?? Way less IMHO

Me neither, Nemaine for Roberts looks decent, Rodrigues is wasted not playing alongside Wootton

Very nice team, agree with everything, apart from...
I'd give Francis another chance to show what he can do...with 4 at the back, full-backs that can get forward, I think the positional discipline Francis provides is important. And why lose Palmer in his normal role and replace him with an unknown performance wise?
Vincent to build up his game more gradually? Give him 20-25mins and take it from there?

I reckon he will revert to the winning 4-3-3 (or 4-2-3-1) formation and fans will be spared the tedium of seeing 5 defenders picked for a home game

Do we have 5 defenders available?

I’m kinda the same. He does look dangerous when he gets on the ball….but that’s just not often enough. He’s strong, direct, and looks like he has good feet, but in terms of positioning, providing a goal threat and his overall influence on games he still has improvements to make…which is perfectly fine. I’d have him over Eli Sam any day of the week.

My team would be something like this the one above from St Kitts but, as another poster said, It’s a waste not having Rodrigues plying up top with Wootton.
