    Oxford win again..

And Kane plays the full 90 minutes again. A midfielder who's been more or less an ever present for them this season and plays the full 90 minutes every game.

I agree. He'll return a year lighter on his contract and no doubt hit form for us and be sold cheaper than if he'd stayed here.

Another not given much game time , although he seemed to be injured quite a lot ?? , Bornmuff away "45 mins" he looked Class , maybe he has found life in League one suits him better , bring him back in January if it's possible ?, we are hardly flush just now in Midfield , deserves a chance at least , what did he cost 1.2m ?

Question is, will be want to come back Roma. He hasn't been given consistent game time to show what he can do. I couldn't believe he was loaned out even before we had Gomes in place. He didn't fit Val's style of play for me but, I would have said that he'd be perfect for a more open style of play that we're trying to play. I thought this season would have been a perfect opportunity to give him game time.

To be fair Arbla he has no say in the matter , he is our player & unless Oxford want to stump up he is contracted to us, remember when Wigan recalled Morsey , he was as good as signed for us but Wigan changed their manager & recalled him , he then went on a good run & signed a new contract with them , lets hope that happens with Kane for us .

I certainly hope he does come back Shadrack. I understand what you're saying and agree that technically, Herbie has no say in the matter. But will he bring his current mindset back with him. If he'd prefer to stay at Oxford, he could easily be cheesed off coming back to Barnsley and his performances could be hit. Let's hope the new manager makes him feel wanted and Conway doesn't get to use his motivational skills on Herbie.

Its a good point actually Shad, but theres no telling is there if Herbie himself just doesn't want to 'play ball' with us anymore. And I wouldn't be surprised because hes not been given a fair chance has he. Although in fairness some might also say hes not done himself many favours either here so far.

I had high hopes for the lad seeing as he came from Liverpool's set up, and a bit like Gomes as well as he came from Man City.

As you say this is one of the few areas of a contract where the club can pull rank.

A loan to Oxford did mowatt no harm and his mindset was where it needed to be. Big val always included him in his squads so can’t have been shirking as we know what happens to players that did! Get him back, if he’s so unprofessional then flog him to Oxford before the end of January .

If he is half arsed then another in the starting 11 won’t hurt
