Tragedy being heaped on tragedy and I put the blame squarely on the conscious and shoulders of the French.

How the hell can you allow thirty odd people to jump in an inflatable dinghy from your shores and head into a wintry English Channel with all of its inherent danger?

The UK has to shoulder a lot of the blame BT.If they had simply returned the migrants to France every time when this started 4-5 years ago then none of this would have happened.It is not rocket science.Thne more they let in then the more will come.

Boris cocked up again big style. I'm sure in his election lies (sorry, pledge!) he said the Tories would protect our borders and get a grip in immigration, legal or otherwise.

We cannot allow people to die in the English Channel attempting to cross illegally from France, but with Macron and Johnson in charge of this $hitfest how the f*ck do we stop this?

We were, we didn't and I reckon that 'human rights' had a big say in why we didn't or couldn't. Who knows?

All true sub , but now we’re not in their legal boundaries why can’t we stop them.

I’m pretty sure that the dingy manufacturer is a good starting point , find the source of supply of that and it will stop the flow.

In all honesty you cannot blame migrants wanting to come here as were a soft touch with this and basically they get everything given ( human nature ), Boris made a mistake with this in his election campaign promising it would be stopped and since then him and Patel have made it worse not better - for this reason the north of England will not support Boris again ( before we all jump up and down the main reason he got votes up here was immigration promises).

Now as a country we need immigration a controlled form of to make us a stronger country but the young men on boats scenario were getting by the thousands at the minute is a joke.

Well as for the French it’s one less problem for them to deal with , the more they move on to
Us the better it gets for them, Boris need to grow a pair and tell the idiot that is macron where to get off and that we won’t be accepting any more so called refugees in our country they’ll be getting turned round and shipped right back to France.

Boris might actually get a reprieve if he did this but he won’t and they’ll keep piling in sponging off the state, while our own needy people get overlooked.

A lot of people gave an awful lot for this country in two world wars and yet today we seem absolutely adamant to give it all up to people who mostly are NOT refugees.

It was only the night before, talking about the situation with Mrs S, and I said nothing will happen until one of these boats sinks with a huge loss of life, then something might be done about it. The day after it happened, but right now I'm not convinced I was right and something will be done.

And I agree with BT once more, Macron is largely to blame, he has an animosity towards this country which warps his judgement, he has done nothing to stem the flow of boats leaving French shores, instead he seems to want them waved through by the French police. He uses these poor buggers as a stick to beat Brexit Britain with, it's shameful, but what does he care, he has an election to fight soon.
