    Oxford United Post Match Thoughts

A game of two halves with wind assistance? Made to pay for early missed chances or glad to hang on for the draw when under the cosh as the end? A point gained or two dropped? Whatever, it's one more in the unbeaten column and possibly still top tonight dependent upon the results of some late games. A busy week of cup action ahead before it's back to league action in 10 days against our old mate SE if he survives that long.

    Thoughts?

    Awful conditions
    Couple of great chances
Struggled to get anything going second half
    16 unbeaten
Next 4 games at home in all comps

Glass half full on this one,it should have been 3points but nil against & a point will after do.

Had that been a home fixture then maybe a tad disappointed.

But it was away against a good team in good form, so happy.

Yes, coming away with a point from this one is a decent outcome - if we're disappointed then it shows how high the bar is now set

So disappointing not to have won this after missing what I thought were three "sitters" in the first half.

The wind spoiled it a bit but we still managed some decent football especially in that first half. Oxford came into the game more after the break and put us under a bit of pressure. I thought the ref was a bit generous with his yellow cards, but we're getting used to these idiots aren't we ? I suppose it's a decent point away against a team who (like ourselves) are bang in form, but after our recent games it feels like a bit of a let down. We can't win 'em all I suppose. Oh and we're still top of the league so that's a bonus.

We've had a tremendously difficult schedule in Oct/Nov and come through it fantastically, standing at the top of the league. Very tight at the top now but December does look a bit easier (famous last words). The fact that we are so disappointed today after dominating (for most of the match) one of the form teams in the league shows how far we've come.

On September 11th, the day of the Fleetwood defeat we were in the bottom half of the table (13th) having P6 W3 L3 F7 A7 GD0.

    Since then we've P13 W8 D5 L0 F27 A6 GD21 and we're top despite our defensive difficulties

Yes, just proves that if you work on your weaknesses you will get better
