    Penalties

Utd, City, Liverpool and Chelsea all winning by a penalty of varying degrees of dubiousness today.

    Hmmmm……

Just seen the Wolves pen back, absolute shocker by the Ref and Var. What are they viewing or is it because its a top 4 team??

Sky 6 refs, so no point in complaining. No one in the ‘Ivory Towers’ is listening anyway.

Dubious call at the Kop end?

When has it ever been any different?

Welcome to our world, Steven Gerrard.

Good point Exiled, welcome to a world Stevie never knew existed living inside the top 6 bubble. Gotta say the weekend produced horror after horror, probably the Maddison one the worst of the lot for shameless cheating, braindead refereeing and virtually criminal incompetence in the VAR studio.

When the handball rule became virtually not fit for purpose I was advocating getting rid of the handball rule altogether, for the really stupid obvious one you could use bringing the game into disrepute instead. If players and officials are going to keep taking the piss out of the penalty rule then I suggest the same. Imagine a forward (Salah) getting in the box and knowing how much he dives, screams, rolls around, and just plain falls down, he ain't gonna get a pen. Ever.
