I will take it further than that sota, I think this season he has performed to a level greater than is ability! in notching those goals and at the moment he has dropped down to his normal level ! wether he can get back up there is what we all look forward too, we live in hope.
Personally I think we need to bring another striker in anyway, maybe someone for the future ? somebody like Dion Charles who is rumoured to be going to Bolton for a bargain £300k, these players don’t grow on trees and he would be a real snip ?

It’s a theory but smith has always done this but it is usually his start that is slow and he picks up around Xmas.

It sounds daft but sometimes you can try too hard and it”s counter productive.you make the wrong runs you over hit a pass or miscontrol one,and misdirect headers and rush shots in that situation and you don’t do what normally comes naturally ..Probably just needs a scrappy goal and it might lift him..
