    Mark Howard

    Quote from Millen:

There’s been more conversations behind the scenes, definitely,” he said. “I’d like to say we’re closer.

“Mark knows I want him to stay, Mark’s told me he wants to stay, so if both parties are in the same direction then I’m hopeful we can get something done soon.”

So it’s all about the money then. Howard’s not perfect but he’s the best we’ve had for a while and an integral part of an ever-improving back-line so we can’t afford to let him go. Will our miserly attitude force him out?

We need him; plus I think he should be made captain and release Guy to concentrate on recovering his past levels.

Staying! But only until the end of the season. Who knows how that decision was reached - it could have been longer - but it’s good news nevertheless.

If only we could find an old head to organise our attack like Howard organises the defence.
