    Russians Bombing Civilian Areas

Completely outrageous that civilians are being killed including children. A Russian Soldier has confirmed they have been ordered to fire on civilians.

This is 2022 and completely unbelievable. Putin who is deranged will not stop until the capital is taken and destroyed! Does he care that his own soldiers are being killed? No!

Ukraine will never give up even if the capital is taken! As for the sanctions they already are kicking in so something will have to give! Can’t believe Russians with savings - Russian Oligarchs with assets frozen - Russian Sporting Professionals who are now outcasts will sit back and do nothing! There’s the public too

Glory to Ukraine and God be with them!

They did it in Aleops in Syria...bombed hospital and used chemicals as well....Obama had a red line about chemical weapons been used....anyway the Russians used them and USA said they couldn't confirm it was Russia....fine.....
Saudi Arabia does it as well....still are to this day........America.....does it....NATO did it to Belgrade as well......

From a chess stand point they (civilians, children) represent a weak pawn piece on the board.

The Russians have form for this and quite a few correspondents have warned that this would happen, especially given how Ukrainian resistance has managed to slow their advance so far. Whilst this will only add to greater international condemnation it will, of course, only make matters far worse for the civilian population.

Putin can spin all he likes and blame the West as the aggressor but he is fast painting himself into a corner and his actions have, in fact , led to the very things he wanted to avoid such as a renewed resolve and strengthening of NATO and a more united EU and Western alliance.

Even if he manages to take key cities there is no way Putin can control the whole of such a vast country as insurgencies will make this impossible for him. If he does not gain major objectives soon I think he will be desperate to find someway out provided he can still spin it somehow that he has achieved his aims against the western liars. Maybe he would be happy to keep the easterly parts of Donetsk and Luhansk that he originally spoke about "liberating" and leave the rest and maybe Zelensky might have to settle for this to save the rest of his country? In any event the West now won't trust him and can see a far higher military presence in NATO countries like Poland going forward even if negotiations for a Russian withdrawal can be made.

My thoughts very much with Ukrainians at the moment as Putin ramps up his attacks on them

Russian forces going for it now. US intelligence says 75% of forces that were gathered along the border prior to invasion have now crossed into Ukraine and there is a reported 17 mile long armoured convoy on the way to Kyviv in addition to an increase of shelling. Zelensky has called for a no-fly zone over Ukraine to prevent attacks from the air but if NATO agree to that they may as well put boots on the ground. Can't see Biden agreeing to that and risking war with Russia. Further dark days ahead.
