If this question had been asked three weeks ago, the day after the 6-1 win over Barnet, I dare say the result would have been very different.

Last night would suggest we'd struggle away against a Wrexham or a Stockport in a play semi-final, but - if say Stockport held top spot until the last week of April and then blew it, they wouldn't be in the most positive frame of mind. A lot of factors could come in to play.
We could end up playing Boreham Wood in a SF.

We won't finish top, it's highly likely we will finish in the top 7 but the odds will be against us.

So probably no, we won't get promoted, but they've got to keep on fighting to finish as high as they can to improve those odds.

No, 7th in the P/O's and fail at the semi-final stage is my prediction.

When you struggle against the likes of Maidenhead, Eastleigh, Kings Lynn, Weymouth and get ****ing hammered by Woking…. you don’t deserve to be anywhere near the football league.

As soon as you cast your attention to just the play-offs only the odds drop thru the floor...a mini-tournament of 6 top teams, 16% chance on average and that plummets if you're not top 3.....so faced with yes/no, it has to be NO

That's why it has to be a no from me. I would rate the percentage chances at 25% for 2nd and 3rd, 15% for 4th and 5th, and 10% for 6th and 7th. If we managed to finish 2nd or 3rd I might be more optimistic, but I can't see us doing any better than 5th. It's also worth bearing in mind that in the current PPG table we are only 8th, so even the playoffs aren't assured. Grimsby's recent recovery means that realistically 9 teams are in with a chance, so we can't afford a dip in form.
