I have to say that I would have dropped him as well.

Yes he tries and runs around, often chasing shadows, but to me unbalances the side. I much prefer this side to what we have had out recently but as others have said some players are lucky to have been picked again.

Carroll has worked hard but he’s so ineffective because he’s as slow as a milk float. That whole front line needs a rethink so it’s positive to see something different being tried.
