    Pre-Southampton Press Conference

    Main points:

Injuries - no major problems just a few niggles
Maxi is not 100% fit yet

Pleased with Murphy, he's reliable defensively

Howe doesn't have plans for the summer window as he's focused on getting results
    and making sure we survive

St.James'Park atmosphere is unique and the atmosphere has been incredible
Can't thank Wor Flags enough for contributing to it

We've been hard to play against in recent weeks

Praised Shelvey for apologizing for his performance against Brighton

Support for the team home and away has been incredible

Callum Wilson is in London getting specialist treatment on his injury

Howe can't speak highly enough of Chris Wood and his contribution

Matt Targett has been very consistent and is an intelligent player

Jamaal Lew is in Germany seeing a specialist about a groin problem he's had
    for over a year

Fernandez is out for a week to 10 days with a side-strain

Howe is happy we can play our new signings (Southampton wanted them banned for
    our game)

    Nice one Albert.

Yes it was a nice surprise to see a player apologize for a below par performance, especially in a game we won. Hat off to Mr Shelvey (I’d still drop him for Bruno, though 😆 ).
Also, Chris Wood. He was the best player on the pitch up to the point we went 2-0 up. I think Brighton was his best game for us ......and his goal is coming!

Amusing that Hasenhutti is still crying the blues.

I was thinking that. Would be funny if we beat them and our new signings scored the goals

Shelvey would need self-flagellation to apologise for his performances under Brooce.

    LOL
