There's a big divide on here now with some doom merchants stirring it up how they perceive us to fail. Then there's the glass half full brigade who don't see it as that. Personally, I'd rather sit on the fence and see how the penny falls so to speak. Whatever happens, happens.
Yes nerves are very frayed and the nail biting will be on display for all to see on Saturday but, what's called for now are nerves of steel and ice water running through your veins. Heaven forbid we lose on Saturday or the ''Warne Out'' brigade will be dipping their blanket wrapped sticks into the oil, in readiness of lighting them and marching through the town down to the NYS shouting for Warneys head.
It's true to say we've had it too good so far this season but, we have been at the top of the league for so long we are bound to feel the pressure as nerves, fatigue? kick in. We've also had to deal with getting to a final of a competition, play 120 minutes in a match to finish as Champions and all this will have been taking it's toll while other teams pressed on with just their league games.
It is what it is and Warne and his Management team are in charge not us. We just have to play the expectant Father/Mother/Grandparents, (think that covered the PC bit), pacing outside the Maternity Ward for the time being. We all hope and pray it's a safe delivery and we get to smile, rejoice, shout, scream get pissed whatever at the outcome.
Think of David Carradine (Kung Fu) then breath out slow and easy reciting these words....''Patience Glasshopper patience''.
