Horrible club under Morris and Lampard. Got what they deserve.

It would be more enjoyable if we were assured safety ourselves. However………

It would have been better if a certain Frank was still there

I know there's no love lost between them and us, and when we were penalised we didn't get much sympathy from anyone, but still can't help thinking that a points deduction (or any size), is a pretty pi55-poor way of penalising a club for financial mismanagement, which can only be laid at the door of the board, not the coach, players, and certainly not the fans.

Did Ridsdale suffer because of the penalty levied on LUFC? I think not. Will Morris "suffer" or will he slip and slide into another position of responsibility (as Ridsdale did/has), probably.

I'll not be worrying too much about them in their new "home", but it's long overdue that we saw punishment that fits the crime.

Do you think that is tough? My team in Greece went from the top of the greek league and played in euro to 3rd division for the same reason in 2012.
AEK Athens is historically the third most successful Greek team after Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. They’ve won 11 championships and 14 cups. In an attempt to clear all accumulated debt after years of corrupted ownership, the club was relegated to the third division. Similarly to the story of Glasgow Rangers in Scotland.

As usual with stuff like this it is the fans who suffer, they deserve their punishment for trying to cheat their way out of the league but so do many others.

Feel for their supporters, impressed with the job Rooney did with not being able to sign players really got to give him credit for that and not jumping ship when he undoubetbly could have done.

This is the Lampard effect, probably going to be like Harry Redknapp (without any success) by turning up at clubs, spending a fortune and running off leaving them in dire financial situations just look at what he has already done at Everton with Dele Alli

    Joel,

I've thought the same thing. Don't care for Rooney but actually did the right thing and sticking it out. Many would not.

I think that Harry's a little more competent that fat frank. You are correct on the damage he leaves but frank inherited a lot more talent than Redknapp ever did. Both are like train wrecks but ones a high speed rail wreck while the other is more like a slow freight train.

Redknapp was 10x the manager Lampard ever will be, he could actually take a poor side to relative success whereas Frank failed with a stacked Derby team then failed with a stacked Chelsea team and hopefully will also take Everton down.

Since the idea and inception of the PL at the start of the 90's when top clubs become big businesses and more Privately held by individuals, the civic standing and responsibilities of clubs has been undermined, ie: the fan's don't count.

Derby County and a few others have been run recklessly, lying about the security of the club, even risking the clubs survival. Financial doping no different to drug doping in athletics.

They shouldn't have been in the play off's, we might have got promoted that year or Middlesboro instead of them (who have a legal claim ongoing) could have been in the play-offs instead of finishing 7th.
