Better to have stuck with Val, than having Bruce in?

Note, the option get rid of Val and appoint someone else than Bruce doesn’t exist on this thread. 😎

Opinions? Quite a few posters claim we are worse now than under Val.

    I agree with them.

But, biggest problems of course: owner (FOL), recruitment departement (when did we last have one?) and the pathetic excuse of the shi t show of a so called squad.

    Completely disagree.

    Val’s football was rubbish.

    Bruce’s football is rubbish.

    Our players are rubbish.

Poor manager choices managing a poor bunch of players under a dire owner.

The biggest mistake was not keeping Fat Sam and then signing Diagne and Yoksulu, if we had we wouldn’t be where we are now.

Agreed, but you didn’t read ”the instructions”, it was a dichotomous choice. 😇

TBH, you really didn’t read my post (last paragraph ”biggest problems”)…

Dichotomous choice maybe but If you were to bifurcate or even divaricate them, both are equally sh1te. Not one have redeeming features. staying with Valerie would have made no difference just utter sh1te all round

Sorry, but the football under Ismael was dire. Hoof the ball upfield and hope for the best! It would have made a little more sense if we'd have had Andy Carroll up front as a target but we had a strike force of Diangana, Grant and Robinson all of whom liked to come in from out wide and all about 5'9". Made no sense. In all aspects of the game he was so predictable as well. No vision.

In all honesty there hasn't been a great deal of improvement under Bruce. I've never been one for frequently changing managers but is Bruce the answer? I'm afraid it's not looking that way.

    Good one Phil! 😎

But, now even defensive qualities seem to evaporate, hence my opinion. And, as Lloyd pointed out with the thread ”League table since January”, no progress, rather regress.

Good post Mick and 100% agree! I would even add that Bruce’s football is even more rubbish!

Whilst our players are rubbish even a pub side shows fight, desire and effort which our losers don’t!

Val and the recruitment team did a lot of damage

To be fair to Bruce how could any manager possibly have any success when there is no playmaker in the side? Val and the staff assembled the most technically inept combination of individuals especially in midfield. Relegation next season with this lot.

Take Pereira and Krov out of the team Bilic assembled, or Gallagher and Yokuslu out of big sams for example.
We only have one player who is comfortable on the ball - Diagana and he has had a terrible season. All the rest it hot potato scenario
