Beggars By Our Ground.

I drove past our ground on the way to watch Stourbridge play at Villa Park last night.

At Perry Bar a lad was begging at the main traffic lights and another guy by the petrol station as I rejoined the Brummie Rd on the way back.

Both going from car to car with a cup.

Such a shocking site, both were very obviously drug addicts but it was something I’ve never experienced in the U.K. on the roads before.

I’ll carry some loose cash in future, I apologised to the first lad with my window down and to the second guy through the glass as I moved off at the lights.

Very uncomfortable to see people in such circumstances.

A country that is one of the richest in the world, has couples who both work using food banks, and have little chance of retiring at an age to enjoy it.
