Sky Sports and Liverpool’s parade today.

Liverpool football club was not built to win Mickey Mouse cups. It was built by Shankly to win the title and in latter years, the Champions League. On that score Klopp has failed this season, despite the FA cup and League Cup being safely tucked away in their trophy cabinet. Less than a fortnight ago, all the talk was about Klopp and his team going for the quadruple and following Sir Alex and his teams achievements all those years ago. We all knew it wasn’t going to happen, but the media especially Sky Sports kept banging on about it during interviews with anyone on the Anfield payroll. First Pep put an end to the dream , then Ancellotti outthought Klopp by winning the big prize last night. .Sky must have been gutted after all the hype, but still showed the Parade around Merseyside thinking they were the greatest team ever. They’re not. Like BT’s article on here, it won’t be long before Burnley FC gets the blame !! Sky tried to ignore the real facts, but the truth is there in the history books for all to see. Liverpool looked tired , jaded, and short on ideas . They managed to win the two cups courtesy of not scoring goals in normal play but being successful in penalty shoot outs- hardly covering yourself in a pile of glory.Add to that the failure to score against a streetwise Resl team , and there lies part of the problem. Klopp needs to add to the £400m he’s already spent to avoid being an embarrassment , especially as Citeh look well placed to carry on winning the league.. He doesn’t really want another season like this one . Cups are for drinking out of, trophies are for parading around the city on an open top bus. The difference is pretty clear. At least Klopp won’t be able to blame us next season, if it all goes haywire.!! Maybe his five substitutes on a Saturday afternoon will help him along the way. Thank goodness we won’t be pencilled in on his teams fixture list!

Not sour grapes from me, but I agree with Merson, they are just not that good.

Isn’t it the case that the PL is over hyped for commercial reasons? Some matches are, quite frankly, boring to watch, unless you are a fan of the teams in question.

Are the middle order teams that good compared to AC Milan or PSG or Real Madrid or Bayern Munich? Villa, Wolves, Palace, Leicester to name four. Really?

I can't be doing with Klopp, but 92 pnts in the PL and Champions League Final, says he's actually manager of a very good team indeed.

Dyche knew how to spike Klopp's guns, that's why Klippity does not like us.

I can remember us getting a draw at Anfield once when Shankly was their manager. It had been raining and Shanks was blaming the state of the pitch for the loss of a point, the hapless interviewer was too afraid of the mighty Shanks, to point out that the pitch was the same for both teams. Not much changes.

A very good team no doubt, but not quite good enough. . Not one that I would have pleasure in watching.

Two poxy cup wins both won on penalty shootouts, hardly commands an open bus tour does it?
