Bye bye! Can’t see Johnson surviving this now!
The country is a shambles
Someone is waiting in the wings, possibly thinking they have enough support for the top job? Truss/Sunak/Gove? Take your pick.
For any normal person, this would be the end of their political career. But Boris Johnson seems to wriggle his way out of every crisis, so who knows.
It would be ironic if this was the one thing that did bring him down, considering its probably not in the top 10 of things that should have.
I said he was a dead mon walking after that vote of no confidence. How many more will resign? I liked him when he became the leader. BUT what a disaster he has been imo. Green Bollox, mandatory jabbing, lockdowns, effing masking, immigration, cost of living crisis, energy costs, lying, deserted the treasure under our feet which is fracking and on and on it goes.
I totally agree with phildQUOTE=phild;40070687][I][I]I said he was a dead man walking after that vote of no confidence. How many more will resign? I liked him when he became the leader. I AGREE!!!!!
But changing a face won't change the the situation. It needs a re-boot and a focus on policies that people want- attack of cost of living rise- focus on energy self sufficiency not net zero- focus on a true Brexit, dramatic reducing regulation, focus on illegal immigration
That can't be done without a new mindset , without dumping regulation & emasculating the dead hand of the civil service & so many other NGOs
Who the hell might that leader be? Damned if I know but it won't be from this failed bunch of current ministers
If I had a snowball chance in hell I'd say get Farage in or get Lord Frost to get into the Commons
WE need big steps for this big mess
Interesting line from Sky news....
"At the same time, the same Tory MPs were being asked the size of their majority. The view among many here in the heart of Westminster is that Boris Johnson, an inveterate gambler, has only one card left, a general election"
We know Boris Johnson looks after Boris Johnson first and foremost. If he ran a G.E. and won, he could put some loyalists in his cabinet and stay as PM for another 4/5 years. Only last week he was talking about staying in the job until the 2030s. Equally, he could decimate the Tories according to the latest polls. Interesting thought. If he feels like he is sinking and there was no other way out, I wouldn't be surprised if he called one.
I can only agree with you on this 123.
I can forgive a lot of things, no leader can get everything right but for me it’s the lying, the constant lying to the point beyond embarrassment.
The only person who could lead the party with any credibility is someone who’s fallen on their sword like Javid or Sunak.
I can’t stand Zahawi, he supports literally anything Boris says, same with that woman who looks like Elton John......it’s pathetic.
If a serious politician like Liz Truss wants to be leader she has got to resign now.
Anyone like her or Rabb who “stay loyal” now do not have any personal integrity and should be treated accordingly.
They need a competent new leader and a complete reset for the next two years.
Looks like another resident in Downing Street as lost confidence in Bojo as another is just announcing his resignation

Difficult one! I would see anyone resigning facing difficulty in coming back. A board of directors would not resign to get the CEO job if they wanted him out!
So staying put but not showing complete faith could be a good move, Truss for me!
Sunak can f uck off with his non dom princess!
