    Rodney Marsh ....Part 2

I first met Roddersi in the late 70's in Las Palmas, Canary Islands. I was at the bar in the Hotel Christina in Las Palmas seafront arranging with events manager for a party for a pal of to be held there that night. Along the bar was this fellow having a drink and he came over to me and said "Hi I am Tony Brook, manager of Man City, I heard that you are having a do tonight, and we have just played Las Palmas in a cup game do you think my team could come and join in the fun." We fly out tomorrow and the lads would like to let their hair down. I said yes and gave him a time I also told him there would be a around two dozen Brit girls turning up as me and my pal had been living there for about 2 years while we worked 28 on and off in the Nigerian oilfield, he was well pleased. The night was a great success despite the hi-fi breaking down for a short time , it was fixed by Asa Hartford ( him with the hole in the heart and Joe Corrigan the keeper. Had a great chat with Rodney, and you know what, footie never came up once, real down to earth guy. P.S, I am pretty sure you will take all 3 points on Tues night we the Lions have still to gel with our new strikers.

Nice anecdote claw. I also hope your prediction comes to fruition. I've only been to the New Den and I was impressed by your "wall of sound".
