It makes me feel proud of the club when players want to attend our games

Yes crash he would’ve been better staying with us for his football but I think he’ll have probably enjoyed himself moving around

From a career point of view it went down and down from leaving us.He lacked pace in abundance, however from a financial point of view,a 2 year deal at Fulham and a 3 year deal at Preston may mean that he thinks he made the right decision.

I don't think that there isa single player that has played for us and is now playing at a club that is higher than we are now. The nearest is Yates followed by Ajayi, the Tree and then Ward.

Yes there's a few ex-loanees (Rodak, Martinez) plying their trade above us but I can't think of any of our own ex-players currently doing so.

As for Crash's original question, I doubt if many (any?) players who leave RUFC voluntarily have left for a smaller pay packet so most will have at least pleased their wife/partner and bank manager independent of any career success.

We take players and give them the opportunity to play but when they leave they are expected to play.

It’s a completely a different mindset. The need to live up to expectation puts pressure on players that they can cope with to start with but it catches up on them.
