Palmer has given me confidence at the back.

Must be moving through the rest now. He has been a breath of fresh air to the defense.
Comes for crosses and gets very strong punches in as well. His kicking perhaps needs attention but mightily happy with his performances since brought in. Constantly chattering to his colleagues. I like his ability.

Button has always been a 5/10 player. Very ordinary. Never really bad but never really great. Like your steady eddy 9 till 5 bloke. No real ambition left these days (like many of our lot to be honest)

Palmer- young enthusiastic, energetic, hungry for success, and has talent as well.

Agree, I was never overly impressed with Button. Yes, he's OK but that's about it. We should have got rid at the end of last season and had Palmer as number one with Griffiths as back up. With those two we look pretty solid in the goalkeeping dept.

He needs a good run of no mistakes. If we lose on Tuesday and he has a poor game he will be in for all the negativity again. Its almost twice as hard for keepers to get the fans on their side, one mistake that's all it takes. I like him and agree that Button hasn't been a number 2 keeper for most of his career for no reason.

    Palmer looks a ‘proper’ goalkeeper

Can't believe he is 26 and now only getting a chance for us, despite rave reviews on loan.

Giving Button a 2 year deal adds to the s hit decisions we keep on making.
