Matchday thread: Derby v Exeter City.

So...no Curtis, no Knight, no Barkhuizen and no Collins against one of the highest scorers in the League with a new manager who also played a handful of games for us.
Fortunately their defensive record leaves much room for improvement. Hopefully that won’t begin tomorrow and we’ll be able to take advantage.
A convincing home win would be very welcome...but how likely is it?

No Barks? What's up with him? Knew about the other 3, 2 x injury and a ban. However, Exeter are missing 3 of their first team who were arrested Saturday night/Sunday morning for their part in a brawl. Rumour has it one punched a woman, another had 2 teeth knocked out....

    Derby win.

Hamstring I think, MA. Didn’t know about the Exeter trio. Might help.

Still don’t know how serious CD’s injury is. Hope it’s not his Achilles again.

I tried to show positivity rA, expected a draw (and was right as it transpires!) but opted for a win against my better judgement!
I received a txt mid second half from my eldest lad which read:
    GARBAGE, UTTER GARBAGE!!
    Nothing more to say!

Looking on the bright side: wildsmith continues to impress. ‘The defence’ appear well drilled and prepared to get body parts in the way when required. Roberts never stopped running

BUT: elsewhere we appear to have a team of one trick ponies, there are five or six on the pitch who even i can work out - NML and McGoldrick in particular

AND: Bird and Hourihan were a gear too slow, made worse by Hourihans dead ball performance being lousy

AND: no doubt MA will confirm the ref technically got it right but IMO Smith deserved sending off for the blatancy of his foul after being caught out fannying about in the first half
