I'm so p I s s ed when I think of the players I advocated us nicking from financially struggling clubs when we were solid in the Prem.

Nathan Redmond from Blues for £1.5m.

Demari Gray from Blues for £2m - We'd beaten Blues 2-0 at their place in the FA Cup and 18 year old Gray had run us ragged at times.

In this period Blues were on the bones of their a r s e!

Callum Wilson from Coventry for under £3m when they were financially screwed.

Arron Cresswell from Ipswich for £2m.

Jarred Bowen from Hull.


There were others but these were good young players we could've "stolen" from our position of strength yet we dallied and ended up spending more on the likes of Ideye and Rondon who were awful and defenders like Nyom who were garbage and we've not sourced a decent wide player since Gera.

I could still scream over the selling of Chris Wood.


Name a few others who you wanted at the time they were young, cheap and available to us as a mid ranking Prem club?

Antonio , West Ham I seen him talking on the TV one time & he said as far as he knew it was a cut & dryed deal , but as the above posts i totally agree those players we could have had , terrible state of affairs,

I know and have worked with loads of Huddersfield Town fans and almost to a man they put your new HC's success at the John Smith's stadium down to Head Of Football Lee Bronby .

Bronby brought in 11 new players last year at Town without a single fee getting paid and they were two stone wall penalty decisions in the play off final away from the PL .

Bronby finds em and Carlos coaches em .

You've only 50% of Carlos at Albion in my opinion .

The thing you lads have to get your heads around is players who run their contracts down at Oxford and Blackpool going to get a fair go at Albion or are you too big to be accepting of that .

I say that with all due respect because my club when in league one is a big club and we are lukewarm at best with the summer free guys and soon on their backs .

I texted my son and said that Jude would play for England within a couple of years and be a fixture by the time he was 20 and be playing for a top 4 club.

Isn’t it strange how the average long term football fan can see the things our recruiting team constantly miss!?

I have said it many times that our best players ever have cost nothing or next to it. The ones we paid money for have invariably flopped, starting with David Mills. But we used to have the best scouting system in the country, Gourlay wouldn't know a footballer if one kicked him up the arse.

Watching Berahino’s debut hat trick I predicted he’d play in the last but one World Cup I was so impressed with his movement and finishing touch.

I still think I’d have been right had he been the sort of pro that Harry Kane is.

Berahino was a rare talent at 19-20.
