Someone’s received a very large brown envelope.
the number of people including Gary Neville who have liked this news and retweeted it is shocking.
Regardless if the CPS have dropped their investigation, its not as if the lass punched her own face in is it. The voice recording is damning enough without the photographs of her injuries.
He will get get away with it whilst anyone who posts anything negative about this will be hunted by the law.
He will have a hard time playing football, every single crowd will make his life hell
I am the first to say innocent until proven guilty, but the videos are pretty damning aren't they. Conviction or not, criminal or not, people get sacked for far less all the time.
I just cannot see how Manu can let him stay with the club. Their fans seem split on this though from looking through various forums etc. I'm quite shocked.
Reading between the lines and from the measured comment from the police, it’s clear that he’s been let off purely because of a technicality (a ‘disappearing’ witness).
I guess there are two sides to every story but, from what I can tell...like all of us, reading between the lines and seeing the video. hearing the audio...it seems like it's been dropped because they can no longer present a strong enough case due to the girl withdrawing her evidence and not because he's not guilty.
Just another of the countless abuse victims who either can't face going through the trial or give their abuser 'one more' chance.
And yes, I'm aware we're in danger of sounding like we're pontificating on something we know nothing about...but I don't think anyone who's seen what was available in the public domain will think anything different.
Have to agree Zip.
I can't see how Man Utd bring him back either. Their statement seems very bland on situation as well.
His career could be over and if it is it would be partial justice in a round about way
Might get a game for the mackems. They’re not fussy.
He's already more wealthy than I ever will be, and his f*cked up behaviour - convicted or not - will mean that he's getting what's coming to him.
Don't feel sorry for him at all.
