Not too generous are they those bookies .
That's probably a reasonable price statistically speaking- They see it that if we win our games in hand, then we're 3 points off the automatic places.
We see it another way of course. Put it this way, it's not impossible to get automatic but tha'd only get my money if the price wo 16/1
After 31 games we currently have three less points than Stendel's promotion team of 2019 .
Much as it pains me to write it I have to admit that Sheffield Wed will probably take one of the automatic promotion spots, probably as Champions. Yes, we beat them early season when the league was settling down but they have only lost another two games since,
P32 W21 D8 L3 Pts71 GD +37 with a run of 20 matches unbeaten is some record so far. It would take a catastrophic last 14 games for them to fail with Forest Green, Cheltenham, Oxford, Lincoln, Accrington and Burton amongst the games to play
That leaves one place to claim between Plymouth, Ipswich, Bolton, Barnsley and Derby as things stand. I think some fans are still giddy after Saturday's win and are making emotional claims about automatic promotion in the excitement of the moment. Probably better waiting until there are about five games left before thinking of such a possibility.
It could well be a record points total for the team finishing third with the top six having a gulf in ability compared to what has been a very poor rest of the Third Division.

Agree SB. For the Reds to gain automatic promotion, we not only need to haul back a 9 point deficit on Plymouth, we also have to usurp Bolton and Ipswich at the same time who have more strength in their squad than we do. I just don't see it happening personally but it's not impossible
I believe Wednesday are up. It will be difficult for us to get second place but that will be Duff's target. I think that we will probably see Plymouth buckle under the pressure of the chasing pack. A big couple of months ahead of us.
I wonder what odds are on us getting a penalty kick this season!
