    37 years ago tonight ( Sat 11th March )

    I met my wife.

I was so certain I’d met the person I’d spend the rest of my life with that I got home at 1.40am in the morning and wrote her a letter that I gave to her and told her wasn’t to be opened until I told her to.

Two years later she opened it to find that I’d predicted we’d one day be married and stay together for life.

Do you see, not only am I a romantic at heart…..my predictions aren’t always a complete waste of time!!

I’ve been very lucky to have met her, I don’t think anyone else would’ve had the temperament to put up with me for close on four decades.

A serious number of exes would agree with that!🤣

Met my Sue August 1963 whilst on holiday in Cliftonville, went to Margate fun fair and got stuck on the big wheel, I proposed there and then, I think she was too scared to say no, we married October 29, 1966 and are still together now

Very funny story that Tony......I'm sure she would have said yes anyway.

I'm sure we all have our moans about them but where would we be without our "better halves"? (Just don't tell them this&#128512

50 years ago this year I met the woman that fu*ked up and wasted my next 13 years. However 60 years ago when I was 10 years old I met the girl who would replace that sack of sh*t. Who would have thought that when she said hello to me while I was sitting under my nan's table that she would become my wife for the last 35 years. Thank the Lord that we found each other, I love her so much, as much as the Albion in fact.
