It’s true, also Molumby injured which is equally if not more worrying!
Both out for quite a while apparently. Just what we needed. Reach in midfield.![]()
Carlos Corberán has provided fitness updates on Irish duo Dara O’Shea and Jayson Molumby following their return from international duty.
Skipper O’Shea picked up a knee injury playing for the Republic of Ireland against France at the Aviva Stadium in a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier on Monday night, and Corberán has confirmed the defender will be out of action for around seven to eight weeks.
Midfielder Molumby sustained a groin problem while away with his nation, with the boss stating he’ll be missing for four weeks.
Welcome back Livermore, Reach and Bartley, season over 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
In fairness, Bartley or Ajayi coming in for O'Shea I don't have an issue with.
Molumby is the big loss. I think he should give TGH a go in that role, he's played well there in the past. And he's the closest thing we have to Molumby.
With the 'luck' we've had with injuries this season it's beginning to feel like we've run over a black panther rather than your bog standard black cat.
If Dez was said black panther it would be entirely plausible given we probably wouldn't even have seen him if he was in stealth mode, the sneaky bugger (ref other thread) 😊 .
We’ve had our fair share of bad luck regarding injuries to important players this season. The latest injuries just about ‘take the biscuit!’ We’ve lost Palmer, Diangana, Grant, Phillips, Ajayi, Bartley, Dike, O’Shea and Mulumby for long periods. If we do get into the play offs, it will be a miracle. With Lai compounding the situation, it’s not looking good.
I really hate the internationals, almost always boring football, it disrupts our enjoyment of watching the Baggies and we seem to have so many injuries as a result, especially with the bloody Irish!
