    Andy Robertson v Lino

I haven't seen a thread about this so I thought I would open the debate to see where you are with it.

    For me

AR has no reason to be running to the Lino and harassing him on the HT whistle. I think it was more of a "get off me Shrug" than a pre meditated elbow.

If AR goes straight down the tunnel with his mates, there is no issue.

Roy Keane was hilarious about it.

I agree. Robertson asked for it and, tbh, I'm surprised that something like this hasn't happened before. Confrontations between players and officials are always instigated by the players and are of varying degrees of intimidation. The officials are only human. What was Robertson chinning about anyway?

What did Keane have to say about it?

Liverpool player though so different rules apply
Firstly Robertson is always the victim so I suppose the football authorities have to base any action on that notion

I'm not sure Alf-Inge Haaland would agree 🙂.

Looking at the physique on that Lino, if he had deliberately chinned Robertson, he would not have got up!

Suggest the authorities need to make a statement with this incident. Anyone who verbally abuses an official - instant Yellow. Anyone who touches an official - instant Red.

Professional footballers cannot expect their petulant, cheating tactics to work when confronting officials. I doubt the Lino touched Robertson - if he did it was a minor brush - Robertson behaved like he'd just been king-hit pleading his case with anyone who cared to listen. Pathetic!
