    Last day permutations

My head hurts! The way I see it, if Blackburn get a point against Luton then they will be in with a shout of the playoffs on the last day. That would be us, Sunderland, Blackburn and Millwall all with a chance of getting 6th spot, Blackburn play Millwall so a draw there and us beating Swansea puts us in 6th if Sunderland fail to beat Preston..
Bit like the great escape day!!!

You could also put Coventry in the mix Dave. Although they have the points in the bag, they are away at Boro on last day and a heavy defeat could see them miss out. As you say, it is going to be a tense afternoon for all 5 clubs involved for play off places.

Had ruled Cov out due to the massive goal advantage, but yes technically they could be in the mix.

Let’s face it, it’s going to take an exceptional set of circumstances for us to get into the play-offs. In my opinion, far more spectacular than the ‘Great Escape.’ However, when we were 24th in the table we’d have been absolutely delighted if someone had said to us that on the last day of the season we could end up in that position. It’s such a shame that we had that awful start to this season.

Absolutely. If we had Corberan for the whole season we would have been safely in the play off's even maybe automatic.

That’s one result down, Blackburn’s draw is what we needed.
